One of the things I've been doing since I first started sewing was cutting up my smallest scraps in to postage stamp squares. Then I keep a few by my sewing machine to sew. I slip one in at the end of a chain of pieces. Or do a few when ever. Here is what I did with my 1st set of blocks.
I found the setting fabric at a fabric store on the clearance rack. I drew a quilting pattern in the alternate blocks. I've got a few blocks quilted. Right now I almost have a second set of blocks done. Need to find something different to do with them

- I wonder how it'd be if you tried to make baby nine-patches with them and used them in the center of a more traditional block... like the starting square of a log cabin, maybe?
cool, I plan to do something similar - only my setting trianles will be pieced - so it should end up the opposite of yours!
