Aqua and Teal RSC

The color for March RSC 2014 is teal/aqua.  I don't have a lot of either but I did manage to pull some out of my stash.  I started with the scrappy 20" star blocks.  I had to sees what all the blocks looked like together.

Next up are some great granny blocks.  I have a lot of small pieces of solid fabric and thought that this would be a great way of using them up as the out side of some great granny blocks.

Here are the blocks I have so far.  I'm still not sure where this quilt is going.  Should I use just pastels for the outside or have dark and light.  Or do a couple of the blocks have too dark of fabric in them.  I think the bottom pink block is to light and the center block is too dark.  Or do I have a pretty good variety going.  I just will have to see what the next couple colors do to my block mix.  I may have a few rejects for the back when I'm finished

Love the way your blocks are starting to come together. Each one alone is pretty, but together -- what a fun collection. Still plenty of time to figure out how they will come together.

These big stars are wonderful together. Now I want to do them too!
I am getting so many good ideas from everyone!

Gorgeous stars! I'm doing stars too but with triangles rather than squares. Such a nice pattern

The granny blocks are lovely and I must admit I haven't seen saw tooth stars in 20 inch size but they look quite nice with the scrappy pieced centres.

I love all of your scrappy blocks. The big stars are fabulous, and the granny squares look great too. I think the mix of light and dark will be fine when you get some more colors added in.
