Fantasy

I started this quilt so long a go it is done done done. Thanks to Pegs Challenge and machine quilting. I had started to hand quilt it and only had about 5 blocks done. I pulled out the hand quiting and machine quilted it up in about 3 days. What a great thing that machine quilting is. And it's fun and addicting. I use a regular sewing machine. I own 3 sewing machines and one works really well the others don't work as well.

I don't even remember anymore where I got the pattern. I liked the way the small blocks made 4 large star patterns on the quilt. The quilt is scrappy you can tell how long ago I started this by some of the fabrics. The dark blue in the center star in this picture is from a dress my daughter now 28 wore in kindergarten.
A look at my not so perfect machine quilting. I still am working on it. This is my 4th machine quilted quilt. I still get a few puckers on the back here and there.

I love this quilt! If you ever remember where you got the pattern, I would love to know so that I could get it!

It looks beautiful!

Looks great! I took a machine quilting class from a professional a few years ago who showed us the best hint for stippling--she said to make heads-and-necks. I tried it for a while and decided it was easier to describe it as 3-Leaf Clovers. One clover flows into the next. She also suggested to practice on smaller projects, like place mats.
