Reject Janes

On my dear Jane journey I have been accumulating lots of reject blocks. To small not square. I seen a quilt similar to this but with 9 patches in the center. And I thought what a great way to use up the Jane blocks. Most of these blocks came out to 4 or 4-1/2 inches when they needed to be 5.
That light green one in the corner needs a contrasting border to show up better. Doesn't it? Love the way the pink one turned out.

Great use of the castaways. I like the quilt in Fantasy post also. The colors and placement are great. Your machine quilting looks good to me. Keep doing it, it does get easier.

Don't look like rejects to me, your solution to them being a little less than perfect is terrific. I will keep it in mind-lots of mine are less than perfect!

What a great idea for using up the too-small blocks! I'll have to keep this in mind when I finally get around to the Dear Jane project. I'm more inspired now!

Ack! I didn't reject any, they were all different sizes, just like the original!! I added borders to them all and squared them off where necessary. Same as Jane Stickle did.

I now know that I should have ironed my interfacing (used it as a foundation) before I traced the pattern onto it, so it shrank before I marked and sewed.

Good one! you will end up with a great back for your DJ quilt. :)
