I've been away from blogging for awhile but I still have been reading blogs. I keep telling my self I should get something posted but other things seem to come up.
My parents have been having health problems and really need to make other living arrangements. But they are not ready to admit it. I'm hoping by the end of summer my brothers and I can convince them this is the best for them with out forcing them.
I took a break from sewing the last couple months after reaching some goals. My goal when I started the stash quilt ring, about a year ago was to get some of my quilt projects finished at least to flimsy stage. I am proud to say I'm down to 8 projects in progress. 2 I just started. I finished 11 projects some, had been around for awhile. I also did 2 of Judy's quilt an hour quilts and I finished hand quilting 5 quilts. And used up a lot of my old stash.
Starting with the new. Here's 2 Dear Jane blocks. I'm playing with colors and lay out yet. I don't think I'm going to copy the whole quilt exactly. Some blocks I'm not going to do. I will sub in some I make up on my own and I'm not sure about the color lay out. They sure are small.
I also got this new quilt book. I was going to do the quilt on the front cover first. But changed my mind and decided on this one. I already have the most of the pieces cut out. I love this book by Kim Diehl.

Welcome back to blogging!
I love this quilt your going to start next, it is on my list to do someday too, can't wait to see some photos!
I really like both of her books and someday will make some quilts from them.

I too found that being part of the blog ring really helps me to finish up projects! You've made/finished some really beautiful quilts since you've started blogging - I just scrolled back - all the way to the very beginning - and enjoyed your quilt show! Plus you moved too. I'm impressed!
Cheers!

Sometimes we need a change of pace, a breather- and sometimes life gets in the way. In spite of 'life' look at all you have accomplished this year.
Congrats on all your progress and finishes - that is quite an achievement. New projects look good too :)
Welcome back to blogging and to the Q4P blog ring. I am also working on a Dear Jane quilt. I find it can be a bit addictive :))
Glad you are back - hope you are able to soon resolve your parents' living situation . . . it's not an easy time for parent or child.
Welcome back !
Lovely DJ blocks
Your DJ blocks are looking great. Just wait till you really catch on. Then you will have 1930's blocks, BOO-blocks and who knows what:)
Welcome back, Lizzy. Sorry to hear about your folks difficulties--you must be at the stage of having to "parent" the parent?
Good job of the DJ blocks!
I love that book, too. It'll be fun watching as your chosen quilt progresses.
