Weekend sewing

Worked on this 9 patch quilt this weekend I now have 6 circles done. It's been pretty slow going. But I think this quilt will be worth it. But if I think it's going to slow and I'm just never getting anywhere I'm going to let myself make this one into a baby quilt.

It is a lovely quilt design, but if you are not enjoying it, it will make a very cute baby quilt!

slow isn't necessarily bad, think of it as a "filler" project, to do between other faster projects...

Unless you want an ongoing project it sounds like a good idea to turn it into a baby quilt. I frequently do baby quilts just to try something when I don't want to invest the time into a full size quilt.

A baby quilt sounds like a good idea.

Ohh, I like that one too. :)

I'll be watching to see what you join the rings with.

Jacks Chain is definitely on my to-do list. It is just such a beautiful pattern. I haven't selected fabric for it yet, so it is going to have to wait in line.
I think that waiting to see how you do is a great idea. That way, you can make it bigger if you feel up to it, or smaller, if you don't. I hope you find the motivation to make it big though. I think the pattern comes out better when it is bigger.
