Squares Quilt Done

I've been doing binding for a week 1st the 4 patch and then this quilt. The squares were cut at 2 1/4 inches sewn to 1 3/4 inches. To make 12" finished blocks with 49 squares in each block. Having a blog has really helped to make me finish up these quilts.

So many tiny pieces. How great it is that you've completed both of those projects lately. You've got to be thrilled.

Very nice both this and the 4 patch below. But of course I just love scrappy quilts. :-)

Good to know I have company in finishing UFO's. Yes, bindings do take just about forever, but so worth finishing so you can USE the quilt!! This is a lovely scrappy quilt - so many different fabrics, how fun!

Cheers!

Another wonderful finish! Doesn't it feel great? I would have gone crazy laying out all those little squares into that organized pattern. What patience you must have.

You've done a great job on both of your quilts. They are both beautiful, yet both so different. I love scrappy quilts. Congratulations on finishing.

This is a beautiful scrappy quilt. I agree with you--having a blog does keep one focused on completion of projects. Somehow having to report progress in a "public" place does keep you focused!

I've just finished looking through your archives. What a prolific quilter you are! I like the quilts you choose to do, it seems that you like to challenge yourself-that's obvious from the goals you've set yourself.
Thank you for sharing.

From a 4-patch to a 49-patch - whew. Nice quilts. I like them both. How nice to get these projects done. I agree that being a blogger/quilter, you think more about getting projects done so that you can post pictures. Blogging is a good incentive.

I agree, blogging about quilts, and seeing everyone else's quilts is really a motivator for me too!

ooough, your squares quilt, is this also what is called a "Postage Stamp" quilt? I read a yahoo group called Stashbusters and they were talking about these over the weekend and I had never seen one before, but I think I just found one - yours! :c) So neat! Looks like you really busted a lot of your scraps. Did you cut them all into individual squares first? or use some strips? Great job on it - what an accomplishment!!!
