I did get a quilt done this week it's my first applique quilt. Since I started my applique has really improved. I had a lot of trouble with the ruffles along the leaves so don't look so close. I also never came up with a good way to make small circles so for now I don't have them maybe someday I will add them or else I thought I could just use some buttons.

Feather
And a picture of the back.

This quilt is magnificent. No other word for it. Your applique is fantastic, the piecing is perfect, and the quilting is amazing. I have Kim Diel's book, Simple Blessings, and I will never make anything from it--too challenging for me, I guess. I just love looking at those pictures!
I made the Scrappy Mountain Majesties quilt last winter, and just now found fabric for the backing. Mine was blue and white too,I love that combination. Yours is coming out great.
Lizzy, your quilt is lovely. Terrific job!
I have two of Kim's books as well - not simple, but great stuff.
