Lilly of the Valley
I did some playing with 2 inch squares. I'm not sure if I'll quit with this and make a small project or make it bigger. I really like the lay out so far.
Oops - I am looking again, and see your spool is made yet another, much better way! This way, you COULD put in a stripe, if wanted, and still keep the integrity of the same shape. Great job.
How have I missed your blog for all this time? You are very talented! Soooo many lovely quilts to your name. You are not on my Bloglines.
Hi Lizzy, another Dakota face....wonderful!! I so appreciate all that great wind and weather you keep sending my way *VBS* I wanted to pop over and see where you thread your needles and thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. I love that you have such an organized list of your projects on the sidebar. I toy with that idea but haven't as yet...LOL....maybe?? maybe not! I love your spools post, they are so very attractive. And they gave me an idea to pass along to my friend Jean who is looking for a neat way to 'showcase' her vintage fabrics collection. Something without huge blocks, but that shows a nice amount of the fabric..I think spools would be perfect! What size did you make yours? Your civil war blocks look wonderful and I like the Lady of the Lake idea from the cutaways. Great job! Hugs, Finn
Hello again Lizzy, I just scrolled down for one more look at your spools and I see you give the size for the pieces...*S* Sorry for not stopping to read further the first time. Hugs, Finn

Hey, yours are already done! I have deliberately tried to use 'forest-y tones/values. Nothing too bright even though BRIGHT is my normal tendancy.
Where are you in South Dakota? I'm in western Nebraska.
