Dolly Madison Star

After getting that last top done I was motivated to sew up these blocks. Here are the blocks when I was sewing them(Blocks) back in May. The quilt measures 72 x 72 The star blocks are 18". And to help bust my stash I sewed up a backing and cut some binding.
This is my favorite way to do scrappy quilts. All different fabrics of the same color in a 2 color quilt.

Now I would never have thought to do a scrappy two color quilt. Looks great!

I love yellow quilts! And I love that block! You really inspire me to make new things...if only I could clone myself to make more time!

What a great block to use for a scrappy quilt. Like how you've just used all the scraps of yellow on this one - very subtle :)

These stars are really beautiful. They have an antique feel to them.

every time I come across your quilt, I want to get my book out and make the same quilt in yellow. I love yellows, and they don't overpower the rest of the quilt when they're all alone. I just love this quilt.
