Civil War Diary Bocks

I did get 8 more Civil War blocks done. Some are very tough and have lots of pieces. So I decided it was ok to edit a few pieces out of some of the blocks. The common fabric (the muslin) really pulls the blocks together. I really have enjoyed making these blocks.

I love your color scheme in this project. Great job. The muslin does bring it together. Right after Christmas I went and bought 7 yards of muslin. I decided that this year, I was going to bring it into my quilting. I even tea dyed some.

I am behind in blog reading, and as I was looking at the posts I had missed, I said "oh I love this quilt" and then there was another post, and another, and another. You have had quite a productive year, and so many beautiful quilts - each more beautiful than the next. Thanks for a lovely visit.

This is on my "some day" list - I have the book and have really enjoyed reading the entries! SOME DAY I'll start the blocks. Using the muslin to ties it together is a great idea!
