Dresden Plate

I decided to take a little inventory today. I collected all the blocks I was working on. In my purse, in the car, at work, by the TV. And I have 10 blocks done. I only have 6 left to go. I sewed 8 together so this top is now half done. Wow I didn't think I'd ever get anywhere on this top. The hand sewing just seamed like it was going so slow. I think I could actually get this done by the first of the year.

I also thought I would share what my front door looks like decorated for Christmas.
The front entry is right by the open stairway that goes down to the basement. Just
encase you are wondering what that railing is for.

What a beautiful entry way you have to your home. It looks so inviting...and festive! I love your Dresden plate blocks, you must be delighted to only have 8 left. Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

That looks great! Do you have a plan for borders, too?

I love your front entry, especially the little Santas in the window.

Very pretty blocks--I like the pointy ones better than the scallops. Looking quite festive at your house.

Love your Dresden plates -- a lot of work, but well worth the effort. Thanks for sharing your entry -- Christmas decorations are just to fun to look at.

We have one of those open stairways too. Your dresden blocks are beautiful. My Grandmother would have loved them. It was her favorite block.

I thought I had commented on your lovely blocks before, but I see I had not. I really like them and the colours you have used :-)

Lizzy, you are doing a great job with the dresden plates. Quilting always takes longer or shorter than you expect. Your entryway is very nice.

I haven't been around the ring in a long time to notice that you haven't been posting lately. :-( I sure hope things are okay at your house.

And they really are lovely blocks. I've always admired the Dresden plate just never wanted to make one myself.

Debo decirte que me parece que el contador de entradas no funciona bien. porque contabiliza cada entrada a cada "blog archive".
