Cleo Basket Blocks

My posting is going to be a little sporadic for the next month. My husband and I going to be moving. (We live a crazy life we also moved in May)Good thing is I left a lot of things packed knowing we would be moving again. I'm looking forward to being settled in a house we are going to stay in for a while. Now some quilty stuff.

Here are some basket blocks that I've been working on. I thought I could work on my applique skills on the handles. I would love to do an all applique quilt someday.

I had to move Lucy 4 times before I got a picture with out her sitting on the blocks. LOL

Looks like Lucy thought she should mark those are hers, somehow. Nothing if not persistent. The blocks look wonderful---story behind the name?

Looking at your picture of Lucy reminds me of my cat, Joey. He too, loves to be the center of attention and quite often pictures too!

Your red basket blocks look wonderful - no wonder Lucy wants to claim them.

great blocks-hope your move goes smoothly and really like the other quilt tops you showed in earlier posts too.

Two moves - that's what we're going to try and avoid. Hopefully our house will sell and we'll buy in Minneapolis and not have to go into a rental. Right now it looks like we'll move in November so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Looks like Lucy approves of those blocks!

Good luck with the move. Everytime I move I end up getting rid of at least 1/2 of my stuff and then am amazed at how quickly I can collect more! In the end, all that really matters to me are my photos, quilts, fabric and sewing machine! But gosh - you still have to move everything (oh, like dishes, bedding, furniture...).

Cheers!
