Week's Goal

My goal for this week is to finish this quilt I finished quilting it 2 months ago and have been putting off binding it. What is it about cats that they have to lay on any thing you spread out on the floor?

The pattern came from a book from the library Pieces Of the Past I should buy this book I've used lots of patterns from it. The pattern is lady of the lake. I used scraps for the Triangle squares. Really ugly ones I wanted to use up. And I was very surprised and pleased how nice they look. It's machine pieced and hand quilted.

Here's a left over block. The blocks weren't that hard to make. Just make sure the darks are all pointing the same way. Yes I had to redo a few.

Great quilts! Nice to see you around.

That yellow and white pickle dish is gorgeous. I just bound a quilt for a friend with that same yellow shade. Her quilt was made in the 30's. You can see it on my blog, it has cowboys and horses on it.

Welcome to the webring, Lizzy!

Your quilts are lovely--good job! I can see how easy it would be to be inspired by your grandmother's quilt.

Lizzy -- I really love that quilt! It is amazing how when you cut fabric small enough all fabric looks great together! Your cat is beautiful!

That is a lovely quilt. Love the quilting too. It's always amazing how good uglies can look when cut into smaller pieces and mixed up! Great job :)

Great way to use up uglies, because that finished quilt is anything but ugly! Must be the ugly duckling that grew up into the beautiful swan! Lovely!

Cheers!

Nice quilt, and cute cat!

I think it's anything that doesn't smell like them yet... they need to lay on it and shed a few hairs till it's Theirs, like everything else in the house. :)

Don'tcha know that your kitty is an "Official Quilt Inspector?" If the kitty doesn't like it, then the quilt needs some improvement. LOL!
